Xtreme Gardening Mykos Root Innoculant is root zone treatment for use when potting up plants. It forms a powerful relationship with the roots that allows a greater level of nutrient absorption. It also stimulates a higher rate of root growth too, further adding to the surface area for uptake.
What is the best way to use Mykos Root Innoculant?
During the potting up process, you would normally pour the soil into a pot and make a hollow, ready for the plant. At this point sprinkle 1-2 teaspoons of Mykos into the well as evenly as you can. Then pot up as normal. This is for young plants; when potting bigger sizes up, use a bit more (always follow the manufacturers instructions!). As the roots grow, they get a coating of beneficial fungus that immediately starts growing and working with the roots. They will gain a sort of armour around them, fortifying them against stressful situations that may arise in an intensive grow.
For the very best results, we suggest using a carbohydrate additive alongside Mykos Root Innoculant. For this, Straight Up Hydroponics have Bud Candy or RAW Cane Molasses. These not only fuel the plant, but act as a rich food source for beneficial fungi. This increases the effectiveness on Mykos and the benefits it imparts to roots.
At Straight Up Hydroponics, we have a few options when it comes to beneficial microbial additives. You can find them here, on our website.
